About Dinosaur Valley State Park
Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose preserves one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Texas: actual dinosaur tracks embedded in the limestone bed of the Paluxy River. These 113-million-year-old trackways, made by sauropods and theropods, are among the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in the world and are visible right at river level when water is low. Beyond the tracks, the Paluxy River's scenic limestone bluffs hide swimming holes, hiking, mountain biking, and camping worth lingering for.
